Damage
on the torch receptacle, especially on the O-ring and the receptacle body, can
decrease
system performance.

Examine the torch receptacle.

Examine the O-ring on the torch receptacle for cuts, nicks,
or
signs of
damage.
Note:
It is not necessary to apply lubricant to the O-ring on the torch
receptacle. The O-ring on the torch
receptacle
is for dust protection only.

Replace the O-ring if it has damage or excess wear.
Torch rebuild kits are available from Hypertherm®.

Use a clean paper towel or lint-free cloth to clean the internal and external
surfaces of the torch receptacle.

Use a cotton swab to clean internal surfaces that are not easy to touch.

Make sure that you do not let fibers stay on the internal surfaces of the torch
receptacle.

Use compressed air to remove remaining particles from the torch
receptacle.
