Do an internal inspection

Look inside of the plasma power supply for signs of possible damage.

  1. Set the power switch to OFF (O), and disconnect the power cord from the power source.
  2. Remove the plasma power supply handle and cover.

    Refer to Remove the plasma power supply cover and handle.

  3. Remove the component barrier.

    Refer to Remove the component barrier.

  4. Examine the inside of the plasma power supply:
    • Power Printed Circuit Board (PCB) side: Look for broken or loose wiring connections, burn and char marks, and components that have damage.
    • Fan side: Look for gas leaks and loose connections at each pneumatic (gas) connection on the air filter and solenoid valve.
  5. Repair or replace components as necessary.
